Aims and Scope

The European Psychomotricity Journal (EPJ) is the official e-journal of the Scientific Psychomotor Association Hellas (SPA-Hellas). It is an open access, peer – reviewed journal, published once a year. The editorial policy of EPJ pursues the multi-disciplinary aims of SPA-Hellas: to promote high standards of scientific study and scholarship in respect of the following fields: adapted physical activity, exercise psychology, motor control & learning, nutrition, physical activity & health, physical education, psychomotor development, psychomotor therapy and rehabilitation. EPJ aims to provide a forum for the publication of original research in psychomotricity in all range groups (young people, adults & elderly), of typical and special populations. With this as principal focus, it should be emphasized that its definition of psychomotricity is multidisciplinary, embracing all related fields including medicine, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, sport sciences etc.

“Psychomotricity” is defined as a interscientific initiative whose basic aim is the spread of the psychomotor philosophy for the benefit of children [with or without difficulties], teenagers, adults and the elderly. The EPJ publishes original research as well as review articles of topics of contemporary importance or interest. The EPJ follows a rigorous peer-review process for the submission of all articles.
